Some 50 communities in the Ho-West District would benefit from toilet facilities with capacities for recycling.
Africa Toilet Foundation is providing the toilets at the instance of Mr Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzra, the Ho-West Member of Parliament (MP).
The MP told a Ho-West Congress of Paramount Chiefs and Queens, who meet at Dzolo-Kpiuta that the only requirement was that the communities provided land and local management committees.
He said the land should be ready in good time so the project could complete by March 2016.
Mr Bedzra said the 20-seatter toilets would have boreholes and facilities to turn the excreta into biogas and composts.
Mr Bedzra gave GHC1,000 to the Congress as seed money to open a bank account into which he promised depositing GHC5,000.00.
The Congress comprising paramount chiefs and Queens from 16 traditional areas in the district met to launch five years of existence.
The import of its founding was to lobby local government officials to grant the area a district status, carved out of the Ho Municipality.
Osie Adza Tekpor, VII, Paramount Chief of Avatime and Chairman of the Congress, told the Ghana News Agency that the Congress would work actively as key stakeholder of the Assembly for development.
