The Ghana National Fire Service has cautioned the public against dealing with individuals who are parading as “Fire Service Recruitment Agents,” under the pretext of helping them to be recruited into the service.
The National Fire Service pointed out that, “it has not contracted any group of agents to recruit people, and cautioned that anyone who transacts business with any recruitment agent do so at his or her own risk.
The warning is contained in a statement signed by Mr. Ellis Robinson Okoe, Head of Public Relations, to the Ghana News Agency in Accra.
The statement said the so-called recruitment agents are fraudsters whose motive is to dupe innocent people of huge sums of money under the pretext of helping them to be recruited into the service.
It indicated that recruitment and enlistment into the service is always advertised in the national dailies when such vacancies are available.
The statement assured the public that all information concerning recruitment and other vacancies within the service would be duly published when necessary.
“Any further inquest about recruitment into the Ghana National Fire Service should be directed to the Public Relations unit or Human Resources and Training unit,” it added.
