The First Lady, Mrs Lordina Mahama on Thursday presented a 12-seater Hyundai mini-bus valued at about $30,000 to the Sunyani Traditional Council in Sunyani.
The bus was presented on her behalf by Miss Sherry Ayittey, Acting Minister of Environment, Science and Technology.
She said the presentation was in fulfilment of Mrs Mahama’s promise to the Council on a request during her campaign tour in the Sunyani Municipality for Election 2012.
She said it was also in appreciation for the support and prayers of the Council which contributed to the victory of President John Dramani Mahama.
Ms Ayittey said as an indigene of Brong-Ahafo Region, Mrs Mahama would always contribute her quota towards the Region’s socio-economic development and hoped that the Council would support President Mahama as he accelerates national development.
