Bolgatanga, Nov 27, GNA- Five out of 53 public schools in the Bolgatanga District obtained high academic achievements by scoring ONE in six subjects in the 2003 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

The schools are, Gbeogo JSS, Sekoti, Logre, Garaghani, and the Anglican JSS in Bolgatanga, Mr. Regis Acheleye, District Examination Officer of the Bolgatanga District Education Office, told the GNA in an interview.

He said 31 students from Datuku, Sumbrungu and Baare JSS failed due to lack of teachers.
