Five-day GHABA workshop ends in Takoradi

Takoradi, March 29, GNA - Mr. John Koomson, Head of the Takoradi Business Advisory Centre (BAC), has advised Beauticians and Hairdressers to manage their businesses properly to enable them to make profit. He gave the advice at the closing ceremony of a five-day workshop for 18 members of the Western Regional branch of the Ghana Hairdressers and Beauticians Association (GHABA) in Takoradi at the weekend.

Mr. Koomson said it was only when they kept proper records and managed their businesses well that they could know whether or not they were making profit or loss and put in place corrective measures. He said record keeping would also make it possible for them to access credit and other forms of assistance from financial institutions. Subjects taught at the workshop included basic management principles, costing and pricing, managing cash, working capital management and assessment, marketing and customer and human relations.
