Form think tank to solve energy crisis-Bishop Ghunney

Agona Swedru, April 17, GNA - The Right Reverend Dr Joseph Ekow Ghunney, Bishop of Winneba Diocese of Methodist Church Ghana, has reiterated the call on the government to form a "think tank" to find lasting solution to the energy crisis facing the country. He said the problem should not be blamed the ruling government or opposition National Democratic Congress because it would not promote peace and harmony in the nation's democratic dispensation. Bishop Ghunney said this when he addressed the closing session of a three-day conference of Association Methodist Church Choirs at Agona Swedru.

He said there was the need to stop shifting blame since it would not accelerate economic, social and political growth of the country. The bishop appealed to people who have taken advantage of freedom of speech to ridicule people occupying high positions to stop the habit because it could spark off violence and wars. MR Samuel Kweku Obodai, Agona West MP, advised the choristers to let their life style influence the society to seek peace and development in their respective areas.
