Former DCE installed chief of Senchi

A former District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Akuapem North Municipal Assembly between 2004 and 2008, Mr Edward Adu-Aboagye, has been installed Chief of Senchi and Nifahene of the Akwamu Traditional Area.

He occupies the stool which has been vacant for the past 11 years due to litigations, under the stool name, Nana Ofei Aboagye Agyeman II.

The colourful ceremony attracted many people including citizens of the town, who thronged to the durbar grounds amidst singing and dancing to show their support and joy for the installation of the new chief at Senchi.

Osahene Ofei Aboagye Agyeman IV, Krontihene of the Akuapem Traditional Area, who graced the occasion, urged the newly-installed chief to, as a matter of urgency, put in place mechanisms that would restore unity among his people.

He urged him to use his stool to court for developmental projects and investment into Senchi to improve the economic welfare of the people.

The Senchihene, Nana Agyeman, gave the assurance that he would collaborate with all stakeholders to bring development to Senchi, and called for the unflinching support of the people to realize his vision.

He pledged to focus on three main areas which would support the development drive of Senchi- Education, Health and Small-scale Enterprises- and a transparent leadership style.

“Senchi is endowed with so much human and natural resources, and as a chief, I am going to ensure that the resources are used for the benefit of everyone, and all will be privy to how these resources are used,” he assured the citizenry.
