Four persons arrested in connection with missing schoolgirl

Suhum (E/R), Nov. 2, GNA - Four people including a woman (names withheld) are helping the Suhum Police in connection with an alleged missing of a 10-year-old pupil of the Suhum Anglican Primary School. A Police source told the Ghana News Agency on Friday that three of the suspects have been granted police enquiry bail.

According to the Police source, on October 9, this year, the Class Two pupil left home at Aponoapono Number one, one kilometre from Suhum to attend school.

However, the pupil who normally returned from school at 5.00 PM did not return that day.

The father went to the school to enquire about his daughter, but the Head Teacher, Mr Kingsley Darko, informed him that she did not go to school that day.

The father therefore informed the Odikro, Nene Nante Kofi, who caused a gong-gong to be beaten and search party organised. In the cause of the search, one of the parties came across a bloodstained object in the bush and a report was made to the police.
