A WhatsApp group, "Friends of Aberga " created about a year ago by Daniel Badu(Dj Aberga of Montie fm and TV Gold) with over 40 members presented food items and toiletries worth GHC1,500 to the Teshie Orphanage.

The gesture was aimed at putting smiles on the faces of innocent orphans and to encourage other social media platforms to endeavour to exhibit generosity and kindness to the the less privilege and the needy in the society.

The items include bags of rice, cooking oil, powdered soap, key soap, biscuits, soft drinks, tomatoe paste and more.

According to Dj Aberga who doubles as the secretary to the group said, this would be the second time such voluntary service is done by the group. He indicated that, in April 2016 they presented some food items to the HIV home at Klagon Tema which he believes is accruing lots of blessings from God on them.

Vice Chairman of "FRIENDS OF ABERGA", Mr Ernest Sowah entreated the general public to give back to the society in their own small ways. He hinted that the group will make similar donations to various Zongo communities.

Mr Ishmael Okai, Treasurer to the group reiterated that the group will maintain its core values and standard which is to create and have fun, most importantly to give back to the society at all times.
