Tamale, June 9, GNA - Mr Fosuaba Banahene, Administrator of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), has inspected a number of projects being funded by the Fund at the University for Development Studies, Tamale. He first inspected the construction of a library complex, a water supply system and a 600-seater auditorium under construction at the Nyankpala campus of the University.

The Administrator also inspected work on another library complex, a science laboratory and the residence of the Vice- Chancellor of the University on the Tamale campus. A statement signed by Mr George Derbie, Assistant Registrar/ University Relations in Tamale on Tuesday said Mr Banahene paid a similar visit to the Navrongo campus where he inspected other on-going projects, including a science laboratory, a library complex, a hostel block and the construction of two staff bungalows.

The Administrator of the GETFund urged the contractors working on the projects to ensure that the quality of their work was up to standard and also to complete on schedule. Professor Saa Dittoh, Pro Vice-Chancellor said the Wa campus of the University was facing a peculiar problem, which might necessitate the construction of a 1,000-seater auditorium to enable it to accommodate a large number of students for lectures. He expressed gratitude to Mr Banahene for the support the GETFund had provided the University.
