Mr Ivan Avereyireh, President of the Association, said education was a critical aspect of the nation’s economy as a developing country hence the need for all stakeholders to pay much attention to the sector.

Mr Avereyireh said government and corporate entities should work together to ensure that all children of the school going age had quality education.

He said “it is in this light that the association found it important to support schools in their locality for the pupils to become responsible citizens in the country.”

The Association also presented awards to students who participated in the just ended spelling Bee competition organised for schools.

Mr Avereyireh however urged parents to get educational insurance policies for their wards to safeguard their future in case of unforeseen happenings.

Mr Israel Martei, Circuit Supervisor of the Kanda Cluster of Schools, expressed gratitude to the Association for the support, and said it was very necessary for the society to show love and care to children.

Mrs Evelyn Quarcoo, Representative of the Education Metro Director, advised the pupils to study hard to ensure the gesture of the Association did not go waste.
