The Olinga Foundation for Human Development has been honored with the Inspiring Literacy Change Award for their remarkable determination to build human capabilities and achieve greatness at the 3rd edition of the Ghana Philanthropy Awards, 2024.

This prestigious accolade for inspiring literacy change in Ghana reflects the foundation's unwavering passion and dedication to uplifting children, youth, and teachers across the country.

Under the guidance of Dr. Leslie Casely-Hayford, the foundation has made remarkable strides in empowering young Ghanaians and Africans by providing them with the training and resources they need to realize their entrepreneurial dreams.

One of the foundation’s key initiatives includes distributing literacy empowerment materials and training teachers to ignite their imaginations and equip them with the knowledge to read and succeed.

The foundation also offers training to teachers, coaching, mentorship, and builds a culture of reading through school clubs and the provision of supplementary reading material, empowering children and young people to build valuable skills for their future careers.

The Olinga Foundation for Human Development, a Bahá'í-inspired NGO, has directly impacted the lives of many, instilling in them the confidence and skills necessary to pursue greatness.

The Olinga Foundation's contributions extend beyond mentorship to funding organizations that share their mission of inspiring the next generation of leaders in Ghana and across Africa.

The 3rd edition of the Ghana Philanthropy Awards, held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel and organized by The Business Executive Group, seeks to recognize individuals and organizations that play a significant role in promoting humanity’s growth and development, positively impacting their communities.

In a post-award interview after receiving this notable trophy, the National Coordinator for the Olinga Foundation for Human Development, Mr. Nubuasah, said the award is a testament to the foundation's vision to help humanity in all aspects of life.

He extended gratitude to their committed staff and partners such as the Bahá'í International Development Organisation, Pebbles to Pearls, CODE Canada, Goldfields Foundation, the North American Women’s Association, and BookAid UK for their continuous support, which enables them to deliver quality and trusted services to the populations and communities.

“Olinga Foundation for Human Development has, over the past 25 years, worked tirelessly to achieve this high standard in promoting literacy, foundational learning, and teacher training. The team is extremely proud of this important recognition and will work even harder to succeed in its endeavors. We want to take this opportunity to thank our partners, staff, and board for their love and support."
