Apam, Jan. 7, GNA - Captain Justice Incoom, Pastor in charge of the Apam Salvation Army Church, has admonished Ghanaians not to resign themselves to fate but to strive to make amends to things which had led to their failure in the past year and have faith in God. He urged Ghanaians to take stock of their activities of the past year and resolve to make amends.
Capt. Incoom said the stock taking would enable people to know whether they had achieved the targets they set for themselves at the beginning of the year.
Delivering the sermon at a church service at Apam to mark the first Sunday of the year Capt. Incoom said: "We can only realize our aspirations of the new year when we resolved to change from our bad ways and rededicate ourselves to God."
"If those who did lazy and shoddy work last year now resolve to work harder, if those who refused to pay taxes now decide to pay them, if those who dodged communal activities now decide to participate, we would be able to realize our goals even earlier than we anticipate," the pastor noted.
He advised the people to enter the New Year with hope and a strong determination to succeed in their endeavours.
