President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has announced that the government is working to absorb the Community Protection Assistance module of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) into the security services.
He revealed that every youth engaged by YEA will be given priority when seeking employment with security agencies.
Speaking at the YEA Beneficiaries Forum in the Ashanti Region on Wednesday, President Akufo-Addo noted that plans are far advanced to streamline the process of absorbing the beneficiaries.
He commended YEA for their good work and urged them to continue working to improve productivity.
This move, he added, is expected to provide permanent employment opportunities for young people engaged in the Community Protection Assistance module, which is a significant step towards addressing youth unemployment in Ghana.
He noted that by absorbing them into the security services, the government is demonstrating its commitment to the welfare and development of the youth.
