Hariom International School bids farewell to interns

Saltpond (C/R), June 14, GNA - The Very Reverend Emmanuel Entsi Williams, Parish Priest of St. Peter and Paul Anglican Church has called on teachers to regard the teaching profession as noble and rewarding. Rev Williams, who is also the Archdeacon of Saltpond, pointed out that the profession, which important personalities, including Jesus, went into was no mean career that must be taken as a last resort. It is therefore unfortunate that some people have gone into teaching because they have failed all attempts to get a job, he said in a in a farewell sermon for 11 students from the University of Education, Winneba who had completed a one-year internship at Hariom International School at Saltpond.

The directors, staff and students of the school organized the service to show appreciation for the good work done by the teacher-trainees. Rev Williams advised the trainees to continue the good work Jesus did as a teacher.

"Initiate plans and programmes to improve standard of education and do not let monetary gains override the work you have been trained to do," he advised.
