Likpe-Todome, March 9, GNA- Mr James Dogbe, Hohoe District Chief Executive, on Tuesday commissioned a 350-million cedis accommodation facility for teachers at Likpe-Todome in the Hohoe District.
The Government Aid Value Fund Programme funded the project.
Mr Dogbe defended government's educational reform programme, saying it was aimed at correcting the imbalances in the sector.
Mr Dogbe urged teachers to compliment government's effort, " so that our collective aspirations of raising standards, improving access and providing quality and affordable education is achieved". Mr Yaw Kotobridja, Assistant Director at the District Directorate of the Ghana Education Service, expressed satisfaction about government's efforts to address the accommodation problems facing teachers.
Nana Komla Dihie III, Chief of Likpe-Todome appealed to the people to provide the congenial atmosphere to encourage teachers to give off their best.
