The Islamic Council for Development and Humanitarian Services (ICODEHS) in collaboration with UAEAID and Mohammed Bin Rashid Maktoum Global Initiatives has distributed school uniforms, bags and stationery to about 30 schools within the locality of Nima, Maamobi, New town, Kotobabi and its environs.

The presentation of the items falls part of the organization's moves to improve on the education of children within the Muslim communities and Ghana at large.

The presentation also aimed at encouraging Ghanaian parents especially Muslims to invest in their children’s education as they are the future leaders.

In an interview with the media on the sidelines of the event, the President of ICODEHS, Sheikh Mustapha Ibrahim said the future of children is in the hands of parents and they should do everything in their power to build their future.

He added that parents should not only relay on teachers in but should play major role in ensuring that their children take home work and learning serious.

The future of Children, he said, is in the hands of parents adding that every parent wants to see his Child doing well in life hence the need to show care in their life.

"Education is the key to our children so let not temper around their education but lets support their future," he noted.
