JHS student killed during Wulensi Fire Festival

A Junior High School student was killed during the Wulensi Fire Festival in the Nanumba South District of the Northern Region.

According to current information, the student perished instantly when the musket he attempted to fire exploded.

His identity has yet to be disclosed.

The event is believed to have happened when the student discharged the musket into a gutter, causing it to explode and strike him in the head.

The Fire Festival, which celebrates the start of the Islamic calendar, was intended to be a joyous occasion.

The Assembly Member for Wulensi, Zebilla, has confirmed the incident.

He also expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
