KRADSUG expresses concern about slow pace of work at KRASEC

Kete-Krachi (V/R), Oct 04, GNA - The Krachi Districts Students Union of Ghana (KRADSUG) has accused the Ministry of Education and Sports and the Ghana Education Service (GES) of not speeding up work on the upgrading of the Krachi Secondary School (KRASEC). KRADUG said it is appalled at the slow pace of work on the project to the extent that none of the buildings had been completed and were still at their embryonic stages despite countless appeals to both the President and the Vice President.

Mr Tio Keyeke Maclean, President of KRADSUG, said this at a rally at Kete-Krachi to round off its five weeks' voluntary teaching in some second-cycle schools.

As a follow up to a similar programme organized by the Union last year, it was also designed to educate the people on the importance of education.

He called on the Krachi West District Assembly and the government to ensure the completion of work to stop the ordeal of students having classes under trees.

Mr Keyeke asked the Krachi East and Krachi West District assemblies to adopt the voluntary teaching and educational trips of the union to enable more tertiary students from the two districts to take part in subsequent programmes. The union assisted with teaching in the Krachi Secondary School, Krachi Secondary-Technical School and the Pentecost Secondary School at Chinderi.
