The Kadjebi District Election Taskforce comprised the District Police Commander, the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), the Ghana Immigration Service, the Ghana National Fire Service, the Electoral Commission and the National Ambulance Service Commander.

The team visited churches and mosques in the district to preach peace and tolerance before, during and after the December 7 polls.

The team visited the Church of Pentecost, Kadjebi Central Assembly; the Chapel of Hope International Church, Kadjebi; Assemblies of God Church, Kadjebi; Deeper Life Bible Church, Kadjebi; and the Kadjebi Central Mosque, among others.

Speaking at the Deeper Life Bible Church, Superintendent of Police Frank Nana Asomaning, the Kadjebi District Police Commander, called on the congregants to place the interest of Ghana first by preaching peace and avoiding practices that would trigger violence.

He said peace is essential for economic growth and development as it creates a favourable business environment, promotes trade and attracts investment.

Supt. Nana Asomaning also asked them to leave the polling stations after voting as the party agents assigned to the polling stations can ensure that the rights of the EC officials are met before, during, and after the polls.

Rev. Vincent Darkpo, the Pastor of the church, commended the team for the message and promised that the congregants would not do anything bad to disturb the peace of the country.
