Kyekyewere (Ash), June 5, GNA- Mr Albert Kan Dapaah, Minister of Communication and Technology and Member of Parliament (MP) for Afigya-Sekyere West, has been commended by his constituents for his "tremendous role in promoting the development of the area".
They noted that the MP had been very instrumental in the implementation of a number of projects in the constituency over the past three-and-a-half years.
These include provision of electricity, educational infrastructure, library, community centres and health facilities.
Mr Joseph Addai-Antwi, assembly member for Kyekyewere, made the commendation when he led newsmen on Wednesday to inspect nurses' quarters and a community centre being constructed in the town. The 190-million cedis four-bedroom nurses' quarters for Kyekyewere health centre is being financed through the Social Investment Fund (SIF).
The project is to be completed by the end of this month. The Community centre on the other hand is being funded from the District Assemblies Common Fund at a cost of 542 million cedis. Mr Addai-Antwi said they were satisfied with the progress of work on the two projects and were hopeful that they would be ready on schedule.
