Ketu District Assembly builds school with HIPC fund

Akpatoeme (V/R), July 9, GNA - Mr Kofi Dzamesi, Deputy Volta Regional Minister, on Tuesday repeated the government's commitment to pursue policies that would raise the living standards of every community. He said this at a ceremony to mark the start of work on a 350 million cedis block of six classrooms, an office and store for the Local Authority (L.A.) Primary School at Akpatoeme, a farming community in the Ketu District. He said Volta Region had benefited from development projects under the current government to confound sceptics who said the Region would be neglected. Mr Linus Koffie, Ketu District Chief Executive, said the Assembly was pushing through the government's social and economic agenda in the District. He told the people of Akpatoeme that other facilities such as potable water, electricity and public places of convenience would be extended to them.
