Korean Embassy donates equipment to Tema Polyclinic

Tema, Dec. 30, GNA- The Embassy of the Republic of Korea on Tuesday presented medical equipment valued at 17,000 dollars to the Tema Polyclinic to augment its stock and provide quality health care to the people.

The equipment included Chemistry analyser, Autoclave sterilisation, diagnostic set, Perkins tonometer for checking the eyes, swivel chairs, nebuilzer, digital sphygmomanometer and blood pressure monitor.

Making the presentation, Mr Young-Ki Hong, First Secretary and Deputy Head of Mission, said the donation was to cement the long-standing cordial relations between the two countries. He said the Embassy was focussing on hospitals in the Tema area "because many Koreans live and work there".

Dr Cynthia Kwakye, Tema Municipal Director of Health Services, thanked the donors and said the equipment had come at a time when the clinic was in dire need.
