Kpandai will demonstrate that 'breaking the 8' is possible - Chiefs

The chiefs and people of Kpandai have vowed to do everything possible to ensure that the flagbearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, wins the December 7 presidential election.

During Dr. Bawumua's courtesy call on the traditional authorities on Friday, the Paramount Chief of Nchumuru Traditional Area, Nana Bayimgne II, and Nana Abuga-Aba l, Paramount Chief of Nawuri Traditional Area in Kpandai, in a joint statement, noted that Dr. Bawumia's mandate as vice president has brought significant development in the Kpandai district, for which they will replicate it by voting massively for him to become president.

"We warmly welcome you and your entourage to Kpandai, and we want to assure you that we, as a people, will in due course demonstrate that the breaking of 8 is possible," a representative of Nana Bayimgne stated.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is going to any length to sell his message to the electorate ahead of the December presidential election.

Following the massive unveiling of his running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, in Kumasi on Tuesday, Dr. Bawumia left Kumasi for Tamale in the Northern Region immediately after.

On Wednesday morning, he began a series of community engagements.

The incumbent vice president is expected to campaign in the five regions up north over the next two weeks.
