Students of Kumasi polytechnic in the Ashanti region have protested over what they call poor state of infrastructure on their campus.
They claim management of the school has failed to improve upon the state of facilities in the school despite increment in academic user facility fees.
According to them, there are no effective internet facilities and adequate chairs in lecture halls.
The students also complain of poor sanitary conditions in lavatories. Some of the students told XYZ News reporter in Kumasi, Isaac Bediako Justice that the management of the polytechnic can’t take them for a ride.
One student said “It didn’t start like this. First we petitioned them, but they failed to respond”. Another student said “We will continue to protest until the situation changes”.
