The Western Regional Local Enterprises and Skills Development Programme (LESDEP), on Thursday presented start-up equipment valued at GHC41,570 to 100 women trained in vocational trades at Effia near Takoradi.
The equipment includes sets of beauty care equipment, industrial sewing machines and catering equipment.

He advised the beneficiaries to put the equipment to good use, saying that, LESDEP would retrieve the equipment from those who do not use them to work and re-allocate them to others.
Mr. Duga said LESDEP would continue to give the beneficiaries business management advice for free.
He said the programme has come to stay and those who want its assistance should register with the district offices.
Mr. Duga urged those who completed courses at the polytechnics, vocational institutions; and need support in start-up equipment to take advantage of the programme.
He appealed to government not to forget the LESDEP in job creation programmes.
