Accra, May 14, GNA - Bishop Emmanuel Courage Sadahem of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints Charities Ghana, on Saturday donated textbooks valued at millions of cedis to Mrs Cynthia Opoku-Manu, the Outgoing President of the Student Representative Council (SRC) of the Accra City Campus of the University of Ghana.
Speaking at the ceremony in Accra, Bishop Sadahem expressed the hope that the books would go a long way to enhance the knowledge of students at the Accra City Campus.
He declared his intention to invite the students of the Accra City Campus to join members of the Church in their self-help activities. Mrs Opoku-Manu thanked the Church for the assistance and called on corporate bodies and organisations to help the institution. Members of the in-coming SRC with Mr Francis Kwaidoo as President, Mr David Bortey, Secretary, Mr. Emmanuel Essiaw, Treasurer and Miss Fatima Quainoo, Women's Commissioner were sworn into office at the presentation.
Mr Joseph Lartey, First Counsellor and Mr Henry Smith, Second Counsellor both of the Christianborg Ward of the Church in Accra accompanied Bishop Sadahem.
