Member of Parliament for Old Tafo in the Ashanti Region, Vincent Ekow Assafuah, Esq., has stated that education is the most powerful tool for transforming communities.

He believes that education has the potential to change lives; therefore, one of his primary objectives as a Member of Parliament is to ensure that no child is left behind.

The former Deputy Local Government Minister emphasizes that leaders must ensure that no school-going child is deprived of education due to a lack of learning materials or an unsuitable learning environment.

“Education is the foundation of progress. It is the most powerful weapon we can use to change our community, and as leaders, we must ensure that no child is left behind due to a lack of learning materials or a conducive learning environment,” he stated.

He made these remarks while speaking to the media after his foundation, the Vincent Ekow Assafuah Foundation, in collaboration with Assafuah Radio, donated exercise books and dual desks to pupils in various schools within the constituency.

“It is with great joy and a deep sense of duty that I stand before you today as we embark on this remarkable initiative; an effort to empower our young ones with the tools they need to excel. Today, through the Ekow Assafuah Foundation, in collaboration with Assafuah Radio 92.7, we are donating 20,000 exercise books and 1,000 tables and chairs to support students within the Old Tafo Municipal area,” he said.

“I have always been committed to championing the cause of education. This donation is a continuation of our efforts to bridge the gap in educational resources, ensuring that students, regardless of their background, have access to the tools they need to succeed,” he added.

He took the opportunity to remind the beneficiaries of the donation that education is their passport to success.

“To our dear students, education is your passport to a brighter future. Use these materials wisely. Read, learn, and work hard, for you are the future leaders of our nation. To our headteachers and teachers, I commend you for your tireless dedication. Your role in shaping the next generation is invaluable, and we must all work together to support these young minds.”
