Mr Denis Nawurah, a US based Ghanaian, has called on Ghanaians abroad to assist in the development of the country.
“You don’t need to make it big before you donate your bit to the homeland,” he said.
Mr Nawurah said this after he donated a set of encyclopaedia (22-books) and other academic needs to the Lekpongunor Presby Basic School in the Ningo Prampram District of the Greater Accra Region.
He said two decades ago, he was privileged to do his national service at the school and was surprised that the lot of the school, like several others he had seen across the country, still needed basic forms of assistance.
Mr Nawurah said on his return to the USA, it was his intention to collaborate with other Ghanaians and philanthropic institutions to assist in providing some basic needs of some deprived communities.
Mr Jude Tachie, the assistant Headmaster of the School, expressed his gratitude to Mr Nawurah for the donation, adding that, the School still needed more assistance for their computer laboratory and library.
Mr Nawurah had earlier made a similar donation to the Chiana Senior Secondary School.
