The Member of Parliament (MP) for Prestea Huni/valley, Mr Francis Adu-Blay Koffie, has presented four sets of desktop computers and accessories to the Huni/Valley Senior High School.
The items worth GHC17,250.00 was funded from the MP’s share of the District Assemblies’ Common Fund.
Making the presentation at a ceremony at the school premises, Mr Koffie said the donation was in fulfillment of a promise he made to the school during its 40th anniversary celebration.
He said the donation would go a long way to enhance Information Communication Technology education and also help bridge the student- computer ratio in the area.
Mr Koffie said last year he made similar donations to primary, junior high schools and senior high schools in the constituency and gave the assurance that he would support more academic facilities to help improve computer literacy in the constituency.
The MP advised the school authorities and students to take proper care of the equipment to last long.
Mr Robert Wisdom Cudjoe, District Chief Executive, urged the students to study hard, in order to bring value to the resources being expended on them by their parents and guardians.
Receiving the items on behalf of the school, Mr Joseph Nakpi, Headmaster of the School, expressed appreciation to the MP for the gesture.
