Mr. Francis Adu-Blay Koffie, the Member of Parliament for Prestea/Huni Valley in collaboration with the District Director of Education, has organized a non denominational church service for candidates writing the BECE in the district.
Addressing the candidates at the Church of Pentecost Central Assembly in Bogoso, Mr. Koffie appealed to the candidates to refrain from examination malpractices.
He said the falling standard of education and the inability of candidates to pass well in their examination, are as a result of the poor reading habit that makes it difficult for candidates to understand examination questions.
Mr. Koffie distributed 1,000 mathematical sets to candidates present and also promised to sponsor the best candidate in mathematics and science to the University level.
Mr. Daniel Debrah-Meriku, Bogoso District Pastor of the Church of Pentecost, said indiscipline had taken the better part of majority of the youth and that had resulted in their disregard for authority.**
