Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyeman today in collaboration with Asante Akyem North District Education directorate instituted his Excellence Award which is dubbed Kwadwo Baah Agyemang Educational Excellence Awards at the School Performance Appraisal Meeting (SPAM) at Agogo Apostolic Church.

The MP stated in his speech that helping someone to read and write effectively, improves the future of everyone in society. Literacy is critical to economic development as well as individual and community well-being

As part of Honourable Kwadwo Baah Agyemang's commitment to alleviating poverty through education, an award scheme has been launched by the legislator to welcome intelligent students who have creative and innovative potentials in his constituency.

According to Hon.Kwadwo Baah Agyeman, the world has changed dramatically as inflation rates are getting steeper everyday and luxuries are transcending into needs, it is only impossible for a family to depend and thrive on one bread earner.

People ought to work for self sufficiency and dependency and education helps people to gain jobs for financial independence. Education is the only path that can earn one a future without any financial capital.

Even for those who choose to be self employed after schooling, it takes education to help build a network with people whose resources might work best in their benefits.

As it has been his outmost desire to help promote and make education a pride for the youth in his constituency, the MP has immensely contributed and brought innovations into the educational system in his constituency. Below are few of his contributions towards Education in his Constituency;

1. Organization of Free Vacation Classes for Pre-SHS and SHS Students for 2013 and 2014 Long Vacation and donation of free Exercise Books to the students who participated in the classes

To the MP, he is motivated by the fact that, education is the only means for a promising, secure future and a stable life and the fact that one of the students who he awarded a scholarship at his first scholarship awards forum on 6th March 2013 is now at the medical school @ KNUST, the sky is his limit to help the youth who aspire to reach greater heights through education.

As his award for this project, Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang gave the overall best student in the SHS category a Dell Laptop to help him in Secondary School Education.

He also gave the 2nd best student an IPad and the 3rd best student a Samsung Galaxy Tablet.

He mentioned that he will help maintain and develop this award concept to make it a huge motivational pad to help the youth embrace the zeal to learn and achieve more

This awards ceremony which has been instituted by the Hon. Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem North is first of its kind and will continue for the rest of the years to come.
