MP presents 'Xmas' boxes to 14,000 pupils to keep them in school

Ho, Feb.20, GNA-Captain George Nfodjo (Rtd), Member of Parliament for Ho Central Constituency on Tuesday presented gift boxes to 14,000 pupils from both private and public schools in the constituency. The boxes, which were of various sizes contained entertainment and educational materials, among other things.

The items were from the Samaritan's Purse, an American Christian Organization which the MP contacted through "Always Praising the Father Ministries International", a Tema based Christian organization to give a

grand "Xmas gifts " to school children in the constituency. Captain Nfodjo said the items were to help keep children in school and to entice others of school-going age that were at home to get to school.

He said his request was to cover every school child but expressed the hope that the next consignment would benefit the 28,000 pupils in the constituency.

Captain Nfodjo urged the beneficiaries to take good care of the items and warned them against selling the items. He advised the pupils to be regular at school and respect their parents and teachers.

Reverend Allan Duton of the APF Ministries International said the items were put together by poor and rich school children in the USA with their " Samaritan spirits" and expressed the hope that, as children in Ghana received the items they would understand how much God loves them.
