The face of Mankessim Borbor Akwambo Afahye 2019 will see a facelift this years as it coincide with the 25th anniversary celebration of the enstoolment of Osagyefo Amanfo Adu VI as the Omanhene of the Mankessim Traditional area and his Queenmother, Nana Dr. Ama Amissah III.
To mark this memorable occasion, the leading Telecommunication giant in Ghana, MTN has supported the celebration with a donation of Ghc5000.00 cheque, airtime worth GHC 500.00 and drinks hamper worth over GHC1000.00
Receiving the items on behalf of the Mankessim Traditional Area, President of the Central Regional Queenmothers Association who is also the Queenmother of the Mankessim Traditional Area, Nana Dr. Ama Amissah III thanked MTN for the gesture and like Oliver twist did, asked for more.
She advised visitors who will visit the traditional area for the festival to stick to their partners and not go about flirting with ladies.
MTN South West Bussiness District Manager, Prince Owusu who presented the items on behalf of MTN seized the opportunity to clearify rumours going round that MTN Momo Services will be shut down, according to him, MTN has no such intention of shutting down, again their huge investment in Ghana and laws governing their work does not give them the permission to shut down for a certain period of time.
He advised customers working with MTN not to get distracted by such rumours. He hinted monies paid into Momo accounts are deposited into MTN partner banks based in Ghana and is accordingly regulated.
