Management and staff interaction advocated to ensure productivity

Ho, Aug. 16, GNA- Mr Wisdom Gagakumah, a Management Consultant, said at the weekend that the success of any business enterprise, hinges on interactions between management and staff and the production of quality goods and services.

He said the "they versus us", attitude that characterised most management and staff relations only bred segregation and suspicion. Mr Gagakumah was delivering a lecture on "Quality Management", as part of the Post Experience Professional Qualifying, Diploma Programme of the Chartered Institute of Administration and Management Consultants', Ghana in Ho.

"The culture at work-places must change constantly in response to the dynamics of the business environment", he said.

Mr Gagakumah recommended that every organisation should have a small think-tank of between five to eight people to fashion out innovations. He asked entrepreneurs not to focus only on the drive for profits in the short-term but also consider the establishment of an efficient and effective work processes which ensures quality and customer satisfaction.

He said: "where participative work culture is encouraged quality becomes everybody's responsibility".
