Manso Adubia Senior High School gets staff bungalow

Manso Adubia (Ash), March 14, GNA - The Manso-Adubia Senior High School (S.H.S.) has completed the construction of a two-unit bungalow at a cost of 40,000 GH cedis to accommodate its teaching staff. Mr. Anthony Appiah, Headmaster of the school, announced this on Tuesday when he led Mrs Belinda .S. Addo, the Ashanti Regional Director of Education to inspect some projects in the school at Manso-Adubia in the Amansie East on Tuesday.

He said Resolute Amansie Mining Company provided the building materials to construct the structure, which comprised accommodation for housemistress and a dormitory block for girls.

Mr. Appiah announced that, the school has cultivated a five-hectare oil palm and three-hectare citrus plantations to generate more income for the school.

He said the school, which was established in 1998 with 45 students, currently has an enrolment of 502 including 106 boarders. Mr. Appiah regretted that, the school has never benefited from any government-assisted projects since its establishment and appealed to the Ghana Education Trust Fund to provide it with another dormitory block and a bus.

The headmaster, however, indicated that, despite the inadequate facilities, the academic standard of the school has improved tremendously.

Mrs. Addo expressed her appreciation to the staff for working tirelessly under difficult environment to improve teaching and learning.
