The National Democratic Congress (NDC's) supremacy in Dodowa within the Shai-Osudoku District seems to be sinking due to intervention programs by initiated by the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration led under the able leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

It was, however, not surprising that thousands of traders at the Dodowa market formed a united front and welcomed the Market Women for Bawumia to the market on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.

All businesses were halted during the two visits by the Bawumia Market Women at the business centre.

The Market Women For Bawumia members during the day engaged traders and constituents on the importance of retaining the NPP in power by voting for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

The women were seen carrying placards bearing campaign themes, and Dr. Bawumia’s qualities.

In her address at the market, Founder and President of the Market Women For Bawumia, Madam Janet Tulasi Mensah, said "We formed this group to canvass for votes for votes for the NPP Presidential Candidate."

According to her, the NPP has through Dr. Bawumia transformed the country and deserved to further with his developmental agenda.

"No Vice President in Ghana has performed better in the history of Ghsna than Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia," she stated.

Maa Ako, a street hawker at Dodiowa market, praised the incumbent MP in an interview with DAILY GUIDE for her years of hard work, which she claims is visible in the area.

“My children are beneficiaries of the Nana Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia government’s Free SHS scheme. Aside from benefiting from this policy, the MP provides us traders with startup capital to assist our businesses, which has gone to sustain our homes. She also supplies stationery to our children, among other things," she disclosed.
