Minister calls for continuous prayers for Ghana

Mr Antwi-Boasiako Sekyere, Eastern Regional Minister, has call on all Muslim communities to use the celebration of the Eid ul Adha to pray for the country.

He said consistent prayers are needed for the peace and stability of the country.

He made the call at the celebration of the Muslim festival of sacrifice at the Central Mosque in Koforidua.

He said, it is the responsibility of Ghanaians to maintain and sustain the peace that the country is enjoying and “we owe no apology if we fail”, he observed.

Alhaji Yusif Amdani Sulemana, Regional Chief Imam, said, there is the need for Ghana to pray to combat the Ebola viral disease in neighbouring West African States as well as the national cholera epidemic.

He urged Muslims to share with one another to make the occasion significant.
