The Greater Accra regional minister, Hon. Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo has outdoored two new fire service stations for the people of Katamanso.

The first station was launched at the Katamanso Presbyterian school in the Kpone Katamanso constituency, where the regional minister also doubles as Member of Parliament (MP).

According to him, fire safety was very important in our lives and it was important that people did everything possible to avert fire outbreaks.

However, as and when fire breaks out, it was equally important to equip the Fire Service adequately to tackle the fire and by so doing save lives and properties.

The Minister who was accompanied by the Chief Fire officer, Mr. Albert Abban Gaisi, launched a second fire station at Gbetseli near the Katamanso market. The Chief Fire officer expressed gratitude at the Minister's gesture and promised to put the facilities in both stations to good use.

The Minister has further promised to put up a police station and a clinic for the people of the area, in efforts aimed at empowering them.
