Akosombo, May 24, GNA - Dr Kwasi Akyem Apea-Kubi, the Eastern Regional Minister, has assured the chiefs and people of Akwamu Traditional Area that the government was committed to providing them with development projects.
"I want to assure Nananom of government's commitment to ensure that Akwamuman and for that matter Asuogyaman gets its fair share of the national cake," he said.
Dr Apea-Kubi said this at a durbar of chiefs and people of Akwamu Traditional Area at Akwamufie over the weekend as part of his tour of the area.
Dr Apea-Kubi said since the assumption of office by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government, a lot of development projects had been initiated throughout the country.
He said the Asuogyaman District had benefited from school buildings, health facilities, road and others and that more would be added to them. Dr Apea-Kubi attended similar durbars Boso Gua and Anum Traditional Areas.
Earlier Dr Apea-Kubi inspected a number of ongoing projects in the district and these included two three-storey 18-unit classroom block at the Presbyterian Senior High School (SHS) at Boso, a 12-unit classroom block at Anum Presbyterian SHS all funded by the Ghana Education Trust Fund.
