Parents of a two-week-old baby boy who was born with two heads at Peterkwa in Agona East district of the Central Region are appealing to the public for support to enable them conduct a scan to ascertain what could be wrong.

Twenty-Seven (27) year old father of the infant, Collins Ainoo who confirmed the condition to MyNewsGh.com, revealed that upon the successful delivery a fortnight ago at a local facility, they were referred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

“We went to Korle Bu and were asked to go and conduct a scan. They told us it will cost about GH¢600 but because I am unable to raise the amount in view of the fact I that am jobless, we have brought back the child to Peterkwa”, he revealed.

Even though they are yet to conduct the scan, doctors are suggesting that the child may require urgent surgery to correct the anomaly.

To this end, Collins Ainoo and his 25-year-old wife Patience Oklo say, they are appealing to the general public and international communities for help considering the fact that they are poor subsistence farmers in the area.

“I wish I could raise the money for the scan for a possible surgery but I am just a poor farmer and wish to appeal to benevolent organizations help.
