Ejuratia (Ash), Oct. 16, GNA- Burial has taken place of Oheneba Albert Kwadwo Amankwah, a lecturer at the law faculty of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) at Ejuratia in the Kwabre District.
Mr Amankwah, 50, died at the KNUST Hospital on August 25 after a short illness.
At a burial service at the St Cyprian's Anglican Cathedral in Kumasi, Rt Rev. Daniel Yinkah Sarfo, Anglican Bishop of Kumasi, said Mr Amankwa contributed to the development of the Anglican Church. He instituted a micro-financing project for the empowerment of women in the church and this has yielded dividends.
"Many helpless women can now earn a living, pay their tithes and also support their families financially."
The Ashanti Regional branch of the Ghana Bar Association said in its tribute that Mr Amankwah was a valuable member and contributed to the growth and activities of the bar.
"The entire judicial system and especially the Ghana Bar Association have lost greatly by his untimely death". Among those present were Paapa Owusu Ankomah, the Minister of Education, Science and Sports and Miss Gloria Akuffo, the Minister of Aviation.
