Alhaji Ibrahim Abu, Vice-chairman of Second-hand Clothe Sellers Association, has called on Muslim youth to uphold their rich Islamic principles and culture.
He asked them to respect the elderly, and reminded them that their misconduct could destroy the Islamic culture.
Alhaji Abu, who is also the Imam of the Muslim Community at Makola, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, expressed worry that some selfish politicians engaged people from the Zongo communities to cause confusion and violence.
“If they use them to destroy their lives through abnormal and immoral acts and not preparing them to be prominent personalities in society, then we have a problem because Prophet Mohammed cherish decent attitude,” he said.
Alhaji Abu advised Muslim youth not to follow foreign culture blindly, but to behave properly and do what would please Allah.
He warned Muslim youth against violence, saying it has resulted in undermining the development of some communities.
Alhaji Abu tasked the Muslim youth to use the Eidul Fitiri to preach peace because it is the only way to bring development to the people.
