Students of the National Health Students Association of Ghana (NAHSAG) recently organized a public sensitization programme on peace, ahead of the December 7th elections at Yamfo in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana as part of their ongoing national peace campaign.
The association's leaders firmly believe that chaos can severely hinder the development of any country, and as young people, it is prudent that they add their voices to the ongoing national peace campaign.
The campaign kicked off with a virtual launch, featuring esteemed speakers from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), National Democratic Congress (NDC), the security sector, and peace ambassadors. This was followed by a sensitization walk and is now gaining momentum through a massive online campaign.
According to H.E. Ernest Agyare, President of NAHSAG, "We owe it to future generations to ensure a peaceful Ghana. Safeguarding the peace that exists in our nation is our collective responsibility. I choose Ghana; let us reject electoral violence and uphold the values of peace, unity, and democracy that our nation was built upon."
NAHSAG is dedicated to promoting the welfare and interests of all health students and fresh graduates in Ghana.
