The National Investment Bank (NIB) has supported the Asogli Educational Fund with GH¢ 25,000.00 to promote education within the Asogli State.
The donation was made by the bank during the annual Asogli Yam Festival held in Ho by Mr Ernest Mawuli Agbesi, NIB Chief Executive Officer.
He said it was to provide scholarship to the under-privileged children and support educational institutions within the Asogli State as well as provide quality education and increase access to education.
It was received by the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV, who expressed gratitude to the Bank and its delegates for the gesture and promised to use the money for its purpose.
In a related development, the NIB has provided 110 mattresses to the Volta Regional Hospital in Ho to support the hospital provide comfort and enough sleeping space for its patients.
Mr. Charles Wordey, NIB Head of Corporate Affairs, who presented the items with some officials of the bank, entreated the medical officials to take care of the mattresses.
Dr. John Tampuori, the Medical Director of the Hospital, who received the donations, expressed gratitude, on behalf of the Management of the Hospital, and hoped that the donation would strengthen the relationship between the Bank and the Hospital.
