The Pusupu Traditional Area of the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region has a new chief.

The chief, Nana Metabesekon Asase ll, was installed on Sunday, July 7, 2024.

In his acceptance speech, Nana Metabesekon Asase ll indicated his acceptance of the position, adding that he would work to address all the challenges of the town.

He added that he will work towards unity, peace and development of Pusupu and all the Ntrubo lands.

According to details shared with this reporter, this ceremony, which brought a lot of joy to the community, was attended by a number of chiefs and leaders of the community.

Some of them are Abusuapeni Boas Yaw Anto (Head of Kingmakers - Pusupu), Nana Dekpaatakple Yakedzi (Amankrado of Pusupu), and Nana Krah Aku Mawui ll (Queen mother- Pusupu).
