Wa, Aug 9, GNA - Mr George Hikah Benson, the new Upper West Regional Minister, on Thursday called on heads of departments and agencies in the region to give his administration the maximum cooperation so that together they would make their mark in the remaining critical one-and-a-half-year administration of the New Patriotic Party government.
He urged the senior public servants not to hesitate in offering him and the Regional Coordination Council advice that would enhance the government's objectives.
Mr Benson said this during his maiden meeting with heads of departments and agencies at Wa at which Mr David Yakubu, Chief Director of the Regional Coordinating Council, formally introduced him to departmental heads.
Mr Benson assured them of an open door policy and that they could call on him with their advice both within and outside official working hours.
Mrs Balinda Batiir, Regional Director of the Community Water and Sanitation Agency, assured the minister on behalf of her colleagues that the departmental heads would support his administration to face the challenges of the region.
