Nkoranza Police investigate woman's murder

Nkoranza (B/A), Jan. 13, GNA - The police at Nkoranza are investigating the alleged gruesome murder of Madam Comfort Adobaseh, a 30-year-old charcoal dealer and her two-year-old male child in a bush at the outskirts of Nkoranza in Brong Ahafo.

A family source told Ghana News Agency that the deceased who was resident in Kumasi arrived at on January 2, this year and lodged with her brother Mr Ayele Musah Grushie.

The source said the following day, the deceased was introduced to Kwabena Odoh from Akumsa-Domase, a charcoal burner, who invited her to follow him to inspect some charcoal on his farm.

Mr. Grushie and wife waited for the return of the two for the whole day but they never returned so a public announcement was made on some local FM radios.

A search party later found the bodies of the deceased and her child in a decomposed state on January 8 in a bush at the outskirts of the town.

The case was reported to the police who conveyed the corpses to the police station and later to the Saint Theresa's Hospital for autopsy. The deceased was allegedly shot with a gun at the waist and the police suspected this might have caused the death of the child too. Odoh has since not been seen.
