Nkoranza (B/A), Aug. 25, GNA - A benevolent youth association called 'Good Vision Fun Club' has been inaugurated at Nkoranza to promote hygiene and self help projects in and around the Nkoranza township.
Mr Isaac Adu, Chairman, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Nkoranza that the association would undertake clean-up exercises to promote environmental cleanliness to check the outbreak of epidemics in Nkoranza and its environs.
He said about 80 people had registered with the club and that some of the members were resident in Spain and Italy.
The members make monthly contributions of One Ghana Cedi to finance their activities.
The association has adopted four orphans; three boys and a girl and was offering them support towards their upkeep.
Mr. Adu disclosed that as part of their conditions, the club offered financial support to bereaved members.
"We offer financial assistance to members would lose close relations as father, mother, spouse or a child. We also assist members who are hospitalized or engage in marriage and wedding ceremonies", he added.
The chairman of the association commended members for their hard work and efforts in contributing effectively towards the development of the club and urged them to continue to lead lives worthy of emulation as role models.
Mr. Adu said the club was non-partisan and membership was open to interested youth with good manners.
