Ntiribuoho (Ash), July 21, GNA - Mr Ignatius Mwinbe-Ere Der, Afigya

Kwabre District Education Director, has called for concerted effort to fight growing evils of occultism, homosexuality, alcoholism and sexual promiscuity in schools.

He said firm measures needed to be taken to deal with any act of indiscipline or waywardness of pupils and students.

Everything should be done to maintain discipline in schools to give adequate protection to the youth and assure the nation of a better future.

Mr Der was speaking at the maiden graduation ceremony of the Ntiribuoho Kindergarten at Ntiribuoho.

He encouraged the people to give the necessary support to teachers for effective teaching and learning in the schools.

Mr Kwaku Oppong-Kyekyeku Kaakyire, the District Chief Executive (DCE), said the district assembly would leave no stone unturned to ensure that the right conditions were created to enhance academic work.

"Decent classrooms have been constructed across the length and breadth of the district and that with the completion of the on-going ones, the problem of lack of classrooms would end," he said.

Mr Oppong-Kyekyeku asked parents to put premium on the education of their children and provide them with their basic.

Mrs Esther Ackon, the Assistant Head teacher of the school, appealed for an additional classroom.

She also wants the school to be included in the school feeding programme.
